The Russian Science Foundation has announced the results of its 2026 grant competition for small research groups. Among the 853 supported projects is the project of Ivan Vladimirovich Fedotov, PhD, Associate Professor of our department, “Multicomponent aluminum phosphate adhesives for joining zirconia ceramics to chromium-containing heat-resistant alloys in high-temperature gas sensors” (No. 26-29-00778).
In a high-temperature gas sensor, the zirconia sensing element must be joined to a heat-resistant metal part with a strong and gas-tight bond. The project will develop an aluminum phosphate adhesive with copper oxide and zirconia additions and study its structure, thermal expansion, joint strength and tightness, including after thermal cycling.
The project runs in 2027–2028. The list of supported projects is available on the RSF website.
Congratulations to Ivan Vladimirovich and the whole project team! We wish them interesting results and strong publications.
