Professional interests and learning paths.
Each student has a number of learning paths at MEPhI:
- Admission to the master’s program (in the chosen direction), two years of master’s degree (master’s degree) and work as a researcher in research institutes.
- Admission to the master’s program (in the chosen direction), two years of master’s degree (master’s degree), postgraduate admission and four years of study with the simultaneous completion of a dissertation (PhD diploma).
The acquired knowledge allows one to specialize in the direction of experimental research, to be a theorist in the field of solid state and materials, for example, to carry out computer development of new materials, to be a lecturer at a Higher School.
Why does MEPhI have physical materials science?
The quality of education depends on the presence of a Scientific and Educational School.
A recognized School of Materials Scientists-Physicists was formed at MEPhI:
- More than 2000 specialists have been trained during 66 graduations of engineers-physicists,
- 187 with honors diploma.
During this period, 62 graduates defended dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Science and 163 graduates for the degree of Candidate of Science.
Graduates of the Department of Materials Science No. 9 work in all materials science research institutes of the country, as well as in many design organizations and universities.
